Our privacy policy

Status 01.03.2018

The protection of your personal data is of particular concern to us. We therefore process your data exclusively on the basis of the legal provisions (DSGVO, TKG 2003). In this data protection information, we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing in the context of our business relationship or initiation.

We take organizational, contractual and technical security measures in accordance with the state of the art to ensure that the provisions of data protection laws and the General Data Protection Regulation are complied with and to protect the data we manage against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or against access by unauthorized persons.

Use of personal data

We collect personal data through which identification is possible, such as names, addresses, e-mail addresses, telephone numbers, etc., only if they are provided voluntarily by a user in order to obtain information. Personal data is used exclusively by us. We will use your personal information only to the extent necessary to respond to your inquiries, provide you with offers, and provide you with better service consistent with this Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to use, withhold or disclose personal information as necessary to satisfy any law, regulation or legal request, to investigate customer complaints or possible violations of law, to protect the integrity of the Sites, to respond to your inquiries or to cooperate in any legal investigation.

Contact us

If you contact us by e-mail, the data you provide will be stored by us for the purpose of processing your inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not share this data without your consent. Insofar as personal data (for example, name, address or email) is collected on our pages, this is always done on a voluntary basis as far as possible. We use your data only insofar as they are necessary to respond to the request. If a business relationship results from the inquiry, this data will also be stored in accordance with the statutory provisions. If no business relationship results, all personal data will be deleted or anonymized after a period of one year.

We would like to point out that data transmission on the Internet (e.g. communication by e-mail) can have security gaps. Complete protection of the data against access by third parties is not possible. It is expressly pointed out that communication by e-mail is not a secure method of communication due to the nature of e-mails!

The visit to our website

Google Analytics

The use of our website is usually possible without providing personal data. By calling up our website, no personal data is stored on our web server. Your IP address is also not stored on our web server.

However, we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google uses cookies. The information generated by the cookie about the use of the online offer by the user is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

Google will use this information on our behalf for the purpose of evaluating your use of our website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Thereby, pseudonymous usage profiles of the users can be created from the processed data.

We use Google Analytics only with IP anonymization enabled (on this website, the Google Analytics code has been extended by “gat._anonymizeIp();” to ensure data protection-compliant anonymized collection of IP addresses). This means that the IP address of the user is shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The IP address transmitted by the user’s browser is not merged with other data from Google.

Users can prevent the storage of cookies by setting their browser software accordingly; users can also prevent the collection of the data generated by the cookie and related to their use of the online offer to Google as well as the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

For more information about Google’s use of data for advertising purposes, settings and opt-out options, please visit Google’s websites: https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/partners/ (“Google’s use of data when you use our partners’ websites or apps”), http://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads (“Use of data for advertising purposes”),http://www.google.de/settings/ads (“Manage information Google uses to show you ads”) and http://www.google.com/ads/preferences/ (“Determine what ads Google shows you”).

Access data

The website operator or page provider collects data about accesses to the page and stores them as “server log files”. The following data is logged in this way:

  • Visited website
  • Time at the time of access
  • Amount of data sent in bytes
  • Source/reference from which you reached the page
  • Browser used
  • Operating system used
  • IP address used (if applicable: in anonymized form)

The data collected is only used for statistical analysis and to improve the website. However, the website operator reserves the right to check the server log files retrospectively if there are concrete indications of illegal use.

Cookies

Our website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your end device with the help of the browser. They do not cause any damage. We use cookies to make our offer user-friendly. Some cookies remain stored on your terminal device until you delete them. They allow us to recognize your browser the next time you visit. If you do not wish this, you can set up your browser so that it informs you about the setting of cookies and you only allow this in individual cases. When disabling cookies, the functionality of our website may be limited.

Links to other websites and integration of third-party services and content

Our online offer contains links to other websites. We have no influence on whether their operators comply with data protection regulations. It may happen that third party content, such as videos from YouTube, maps from Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites are integrated within this online offer. This always requires that the providers of this content (hereinafter referred to as “third-party providers”) perceive the IP address of the users. Because without the IP address, they could not send the content to the browser of the respective user. The IP address is thus required for the display of this content. We endeavor to use only such content whose respective providers use the IP address only for the delivery of the content. However, we have no influence if the third-party providers store the IP address, e.g. for statistical purposes. Insofar as this is known to us, we inform the users about it.

Functions of the Instagram service are integrated on our pages. These functions are offered by Instagram Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA, 94025, USA. If you are logged into your Instagram account, you can link the content of our pages to your Instagram profile by clicking on the Instagram button. This allows Instagram to associate the visit to our pages with your user account. We would like to point out that we, as the provider of the pages, have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or its use by Instagram.
